Songs of Solomon 2: 15-16. TPT
15. You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together.
16. I know my lover is mine and I have everything in you, for we delight ourselves in each other.
It takes work to make any relationship work , dating or marriage inclusive.
It’s the little things, a lot of them (little foxes) that become big issues in most relationships/ marriages.
Pay attention to the little things and stop taking your partner forgranted.
Don’t just complain about everything they do, pray and praise your partner too. Appreciate and compliment them.
Don’t just focus on the grand gestures (such as getting them gifts, taking them out or doing really special things on valentine’s day) work on the little things / foxes too. Grand gestures are great and lovely, but the little things matter a lot too. Take out time to resolve the little things together before they become big things/ issues.
Delight in your partner . To delight means to please someone greatly. Give each other great pleasure. In Hebrew, it means to indulge, to enjoy.
Challenge: Read Songs of Solomon, you might get a few ideas to spice up your relationship/ marriage.
